A product of the legendary Hart dungeon, Maloney has been described as a cross between
Chris Benoit and Ken Shamrock, with a level of intensity unparalled in the world of
wrestling. Maloney is a very dangerous man in the ring, just ask Hulk Hogan. It was
Maloney who ended Hogan's in-ring career whilst in WCW, when he refused to do the job
at Starrcade and shooted on Hogan instead, breaking his arm in 4 places with the
Crossface Submission. Maloney was of course fired from WCW, but instead made his way to
the TWF, where he became their first ever champion, a title he never lost.
Maloney's offence is very technical, and focuses on the arm, in preparation for the
Crossface Submission. Maloney has also been known to put opponents away with an
armbar neckbreaker, triangle hold, chicken wing jawbreaker or half nelson suplex as
well.
He is accompanied to the ring by his girlfriend Sarah Bearham, and she knows how to
take care of herself in the ring, often drilling people with an incredibly stiff DDT.
Maloney occasionally teams with "The Machine" Rob Yorke, calling themselves The Alliance.
There is no doubt that if they were a regular team they would be dominant, but Maloney's
focus on a singles career stops that from happening. They use a devastating tandem finisher,
the Powerbomb Neckbreaker, to put people away, and cause many injuries
Maloney added to his growing legend by becoming the inaugural GWF World Heavyweight
Champion at Battleground Zero 2001, defeating Adam Collins in a 2 out of 3 falls
tournament final, having survived the qualifiers, triple threat and round robin
stages.
