La Muerte Roja (which translates to "The Red Death" in English) is perhaps the
biggest luchador star to ever come out of Mexico. His success in Mexican federations
is unparalleled, and his spectacular array of moves has earned him the respect of 
the fans, if not their admiration. Though, in fairness, this is probably due to his
attitude. If there is a shortcut to be taken, he'll take it. If he can humiliate his
opponent, he will. If he can hurt his opponent, he will. His legendary AAA feuds with
Psicosis and Hector Garza and often referred to when it comes to Lucha classics, and
now La Muerte Roja makes the journey into the GWF, to start a new chapter in his 
career.

La Muerte Roja utilizes a high flying offence against his opponents, often using the
ropes as an aid in many ways, be it for elevation, as a springboard or even for 
leverage. He uses the devastating Diamond Dust as his main finisher, but his arsenal
also contains a brain buster, flying senton bomb, Michinoku Driver, super brain buster
and even a Tarantula Submission, all which have been known to beat opponents

On February 19th 2001, Roja entered and won a 14 man Battle Royal, and in the process
made history by becoming the first ever GWF Cruiserweight Champion.
